Why video analytics is needed and what effects it provides?
Video analytics in industry helps to control business processes, contributes to the improvement of labor safety at facilities and helps to make quick decisions, increasing business efficiency.
The most popular tasks that video analytics solves are:
- Tracks personnel activity;
- Provides perimeter control;
- Monitors the operating state of equipment;
- Reports possible incidents;
- Leads to cost reduction from downtime of operations;

What are datasets, what are they for and how to get them?
Datasets are a set of photo/video data that are used to train neural networks. Datasets contain visual information about various objects or events, based on which algorithms learn to recognize these objects or events.
If CCTV is installed in the enterprise, archive is recordings into the VMS - video management system. Video recordings can be transferred to a usb-drive, memory card and other data storage devices.

Is it safe to transmit data from your cameras and where will it be stored?
All datasets that we receive for training neural networks are stored on a separate server with a strictly limited access, and after training the neural network the data is deleted.
If the data is not private, we can remotely connect to cloud storage and retrieve datasets. If the data belongs to critical infrastructure or is located in a closed loop, it can be transferred on a physical storage device, such as a usb-drive.

Why is a pre-project survey required?
For the video analytics to function effectively, cameras must be installed in the right locations, with camera angles accurately capturing the "scene" where events occur. Before implementing the video analytics system, our team of engineers will survey the site, determine the required number of cameras, specify the necessary processing equipment, and establish the requirements for the communication channel.

What equipment is needed to connect video analytics?
To implement video analytics, you will need a server, video recorder and IP video cameras. We will be able to provide more detailed information after a pre-project inspection of the facility.
6.
Can I use my own equipment, or do I need to purchase it from NVI?
As part of the video analytics implementation, we strive to make maximum use of the equipment already installed at your site. If the existing equipment is insufficient, our engineers will prepare a specification and provide consultation on possible options. You can purchase the equipment either independently (locally) or through NVI.
7.
Is it possible to develop additional recognition detectors that are not included in NVI products?
Of course. NVI has strong expertise in industrial video analytics. Leave a request, our manager will contact you and advise you on all video analytics options, taking into account the specifics of your request.
8.
Can we see the capabilities and functionality of NVI's video analytics before making a purchase?

Who will maintain the equipment and support the video analytics system?
As part of our video analytics support, we offer two service options:
- Turnkey Service – Our engineers will provide on-site support and handle equipment maintenance directly at your location.
- Supervising – In this support option, our engineers will act as supervisors, providing training for your staff and offering consultations on any issues that arise.
